Photographs of metre-gauge locomotives, units and railcars from the three trips I made to Portugal between 1990 & 1992. Coaching stock & other metre-gauge vehicles are to be found in a seperate collection. Most steam locos depicted here were either dumped or preserved, although a few were ready for action, but sadly not in steam. I'll be making a start on uploading my slides later in 2009 (hopefully), so many colour photos will be added to this collection.

At Livracao, 1965-built Alsthom Bo-Bo diesel locomotive 9002 (introduced to Portugal in 1975) stands between the station and the small depot, which contains NOHAB railcar 029-102; another shed (behind the camera, and around the corner) houses a preserved steam loco. 1st June 1992.
